ReplyDeleteActually in Toy Story 3 there was a hinted bisexual character, Ken, the male version of Barbie. So, you cannot say that the creators didn't try to make a gay character.

I feel like you're just a troll, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
You are very missguided. James Cameron doesn't care about straight vs. gay. he just wanted to make a sci-fi movie, and I thought allot of the concepts in it were really cool.
your idea of evolution is twisted. people evolve to be able to reproduce. so as you can see, heterosexuality is abundant in most species. there is no biological benifit to being gay/trans, that places you above heteros on the scale of biological fitness.
I'm not saying gayness is a disease, I'm saying that there is no reason for people to evolve in that way.
furthermore, Avatar didn't lose the best picture award because of this. It lost because there was a better movie out. It still is the highest grossing film.
There were no black people on the film (except for the blue people, who were obviously representative of africa/china) So as a black guy, should I complaint about the lack of black people? no. Social science would show that people in the future (it was only about 6 generations in the future btw) so the people should have been mixed. But this still doesn't mean that Cameron is a racist.
That said Hurt locker had no gay ppl.

ReplyDeleteI think it was released that month because it's a summer blockbuster and your silly Gay Pride month happens to take place in the summer. It's like claiming that just because a movie (Avatar is a good example) is released in December, it's automatically a Christmas movie. Have you seen Avatar? Nothing to do with Christmas and yet it had a December release.
