  1. I think this is a really daft thing to do. It just makes more hatred toward the gay community for no reason.

  2. Should be an exciting day. Thank you for making this happen!!!

  3. This has to be troll. A sane gay person wouldn't do this :P

  4. Well, I did it.
I bought 100 tickets online and didn't turn up.
    That will teach them......

Now I'm off to shout at the snowflakes because they are racist!

  5. Are you guys being serious with this???
I hope you're not, because it's just so fucking ridiculous!
I'm a lesbian, and the only thing I'm offended by is your stupidity! You're giving the gay community a bad name, nothing more.
Don't you have anything better to do with your time?

  7. Your all a bunch of idiotic, time wasting moron's!
How can you 'stand up for gay rights' when your only giving ppl the right to be angry with you all and give them ammunition towards your community! Looking at your online VOTING polls, noone is going anyway! Fucking hell there are people being killed for being GAY and look at you, your all still here and being able to be with your loved ones, and your fucking monaing about a film, yeah by tickets all you want, your only linning James Cameron's pockets, ready for his next mansion, your all stupid and I peronally think that your only making things worse for yourselves in the long run, if I was gay, i would be sickened....... you should hang your heads in shame, you going to protest all t.v programmes, books, films and other publishings for this reason, such a sad life..... some people don't like homosexuality with any gender, get over it, it will never change! I personally don't have a problem with the community, i just have a problem with the idiotic's and that you think you can protest for everyone in the USA and the world, FUCKING HELL..... Grow up!

  12. There's no gay people or Pandorians in the future, accept it fags.

    ReplyDelete
  13. i will laugh at the idiots who decide to protest due to bad information from this crappy site and the idiots who are too stupid to do basic research and for the retards that try to shove a certain viewpoint down everyone elses throat

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dumbest. Shit. Ever.

Way to stir up more hate against yourselves. Don't you get it, 99.98% of humanity believes, knows, and thinks that homosexuality is disgusting and creates unstable humans.

We're just waiting for you morons to die off.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ridiculous. As a supporter of the community this site and the related protests do not help the cause, in fact they hurt it. Those behind this website, are more than likely trying to hurt the gay community while pretending to support it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. OK, you're saying that just because a film based in the future has heterosexual humans and aliens, it's prejudiced against homosexuals. I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous.

No sane person would have a problem with homosexuals, and would openly except them as normal human beings (which I'll add, we do in Europe). But, a Hollywood film shouldn't need to add homosexuality into every single plot line, so as to be all including, otherwise it would have to include someone from every ethnicity and religion as well.
And as for the future being Transgender, that's bollocks. Deciding to change your gender, although perfectly respectable, is something for very few people.
Only a very small proportion of the worlds population are transgenders, as most people are 'born the correct gender'. There will never be a time that it becomes the normal thing to convert male children to look more female as it isn't (no offence) natural. Sex changes will never be a 'normal' thing as it is a big step to take (as you know).

Sorry, but I would go so far as to say you were being heterophobic. Homosexual, bisexual and hetrosexual people are all natural, but common biology will tell you that hetrosexuality is the most common sexual behavior in all animals (and mostlikely in aliens too, as it is the only way a species can continue).

I really don't want to offend anyone with this, but I do want to make you aware that you're being pretty imature.

  17. Ya know, I wasn't going to see Avatar because I thought it was going to be an anti human-anti American-green propaganda but after reading this blog I want to see it more than ever! Thanks I am going to post Avatar trailers on my myspace and email it to everyone I know. Thanks, your utter stupidity and Heterophobia has opened my eyes at how wonderful this movie could be. Maybe I'll even make room in my schedule to see it more than one next week. I'll let you know how it is!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Good job protesting ignorance. Just because you are gay doesn't mean that hetero isn't the natural way of nature. I can't reproduce by sticking my dick in a guys ass now can I.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I stood up during the film and I yelled out, "I AM GAY!"

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think I have decided I want to be gay or at least try it out. Anybody in the Portland, Maine area who can help? - Samuel

    ReplyDelete
  21. Your a big fat attention whore.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Pretty good joke you guys got going here

    ReplyDelete
  23. maybe go protest against things that really descriminates gay people?

    ReplyDelete
  24. This is a very weak arguement and makes no sense at all. I'm all for everyone having rights, being equal and the right to be heard, but whoever put this together really didn't think it through.

Just like in the past when Humans make an issue over something as silly as this all you do is help gain more popularity.

To suggest that you BUY all the tickets and don't show up or to buy the tickets and then stand up during the movie, like it would solve something. STOP and think about that for a second......... once you buy the tickets the studio gets paid, so if you were to do this all you would do is help the studio make their money (lots of it) and make the film a blockbuster. My question is: What did you prove with this action?

To think that humans will evolve into Trans' in the future makes you more ignet as those you're fighting against.

You all need to calm down and not jump at every little thing that may seem like something it's not.......

DUMBASS Humans will never learn, that's why I'm waiting for the mothership to arrive and get me off this planet........

Peace Out to all and to all a good.............

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey it's me again El Chubby Boricua from the above comment.

Remeber that Movie Theatres are not considered a Public place. The buildings are indeed Private Property and you will get arrested for transpassing (again something that will not help your cause in anyway). Be smart about the way you protest, you want people to hear and listen to you not blow you off as just another wacked out group with too much time on their hands........

Okay That's it I'm out, I hear the Mothership coming for me

    Peace Out
    El Chubby Boricua

  26. You are going to nothing to stop this film. This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever read. As an openly, PROUD, gay man, your efforts are in vain. First of all, having SEEN the movie last night (and loving it), the film sends a VERY progressive message and is incredibly left-leaning.

Also: Having seen the movie, there is NO place for a gay sub-plot. It wouldn't work in the movie, and would be completely pointless. There's a remarkable love story (inter-species, progressive enough for you?), and a whole lot of heart and message.

Want to see gay characters? Rent one of the THOUSANDS of lgbt-themed movies that exist out there. Keep in mind, we're a MINORITY. Which means, we will be in a MINORITY of films. Which is OKAY.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Why are you such a stinkweed, J. Porter? Come on and join the revolution!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ceasar,

I am being a "stinkweed" because I devote my life to serving the LGBT community and fighting hatred. I've been working for an LGBT-Equality Center for the past four years, and there are SO many other things we need to be protesting!

We need to be protesting ex-gay therapies, and politicians who don't support marriage equality! We need to protest the Westboro Baptist Church and other religious organizations that openly preach hatred towards us. We need to be rallying in our cities and demanding our government to repeal DOMA and DADT! There are so many causes working directly against us that focusing your energy on something like Avatar is so futile.

    ReplyDelete
  29. To those who say "We're here! We're Queer! Get used to it!"

I have to say.. WE ALREADY DID.... We're just waiting on you now....

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think J. Porter is a stinkweed too.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I did it! For five hours I lay face down in the movie theater lobby. Nonstop! Well, I did go to the restroom once, and I also bought a box of Milk Duds. I also later bought some nachos. Except for one teenage boy who said "Hey man, are you okay?" no one did anything. You see, when you are brave your oppressors will be afraid! Or maybe the cops considered arresting me but a politician intervened.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm going to wear all pink and sit on the floor at the cinema. That'll show em'.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Actually if I saw someone face down on the ground I don't think "brave protestor." I think "Wow what a retard, the theater is that way."

This is obviously some sick joke by someone who hacked the account for this blog is all I can think of, LGBT has never done something as outright idiotic as this as far as I know.

    ReplyDelete
  34. To J. Porter: Do yiu realize that the Westboro Baptist Church is a very small, fringe group. They literally have maybe a dozen or members. Most if not all of them members of a very kooky family. Its more like a cult than a church. The VAST majority of religious organizations (99%) do good things like helping to feed or clothe the poor, provide sorts of aide to the needy. They are not your enemy or problem.

  35. Evolution is scientific fact. With the passage of time, a species will evolve and will improve biologically. With the growing dangers of climate change it is clear that the human race will become Transgender to reduce its impact on the Earth. The "male/female" divide has created too many people, too much breeding, too much social conflict, too much waste and pollution. A transgender species will reduce redundancy and provide greater efficiency.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Things went really well today! Took my girlfriend to the theater and we hugged and kissed and sat down for a while on the floor holding hands. No one bothered us.

    ReplyDelete
  37. We are not evolving towards transgenderism. Less than 0.001% of the population are transgender.
About 10% are LGB, so if the film were homophobic then that would be an issue.
    But it's not.
Not having gay characters isn't being homophobic. If it's not relevant to the story line, why include one?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lara:

1.) Quit spamming with the exact same message.
2.) You obviously don't know what transgender means. Allow me to enlighten you.

Transgender (As taken from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary) : of, relating to, or being a person (as a transsexual or transvestite) who identifies with or expresses a gender identity that differs from the one which corresponds to the person's sex at birth.

So basically, being transgendered means you're born one sex but truly feel you are, or are meant to be the other sex.

3.) Without straight folks like myself, and 98% of the world, mankind ceases to exist.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have a question for all that attended: Did any of you actually achieve anything? What did you all prove by spending money on the movie and then not watch it? What did any of you show the world by simply sitting in the floor?

There were two (2) articles that talked about this, in the entirety of the internet. One mocked you, one was confused as to the point. They were both of the GBLT community. And from what I can tell form the other comments, you've just been a laughingstock.

So I ask again: What did you people achieve?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Awesome Tammy. I live near Portland, OR and I went with my boyfriend and we made a point of holding our hands and kissing during the previews. Nothing really happened, there we're some snickers but nothing major. I hope that's the worst that happened to anyone today!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sweet. I'm gonna go with my girlfriend tonight and we're gonna be affectionate....PUURRRRRRRRR!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Evolution is a scientific fact, but last I checked this movie is science fiction. The protest of this film is rediculous. I have no issues with homosexuality or transgender and I am a supporter of all human rights, but again this protest is rediculous. Why was Star Trek not protested? It takes place in the future. This protest is nothing more than an attempt to get notice. Albeit a successful attempt. There is a ton of media buzz regarding this movie, so it makes sense to jump on board and get a piece of the pie. Everyone I have talked to about this protest has rolled their eyes, laughed or outright made fun of it. It is not an intelligent move for the homsexual and transgender communities and brings them into the light of being nothing more than an attention-mongers. If this protest is going to continue, then every movie is to be protested that does not fit into the agenda of the protesters. You have the right to protest, but your voices in this matter are giving you the idiots crown.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This is all pointless. Even if this movie was insensitive to transgenders (which it is not) the producers have every single right to put whatever you want. If you do not like it, DON'T WATCH THE FUCKING MOVE YOU DUMB ASS RETARDED IDIOTS. How stupid are these people? Whoever made this website is either a troll, an attention whore, or just a fucking idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  44. whatever they want*

    ReplyDelete
  45. do you realize that nobody gives a flying fuck about you? seriously, the only attention your website is getting is people making fun of it on the radio. also, if the human race was evolving to be homosexual, how would there possibly be any more humans, if everyone was homosexual, ther could be no procreation. i mean seriously? is star wars evil becasue people a long time ago in a galaxy far far away are straight? or star trek? or terminator. come on, just because there arent gays in a movie DOES NOT make it anti-gay. if you really cared about gay/lesbian rights, you wouldnt do something like this that only makes the whole community look worse.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I've studied biology and there is nothing farfetched about humans evolving into a unisex form. It could happen but there would need to be a "trigger" a sort of biological fuse or event to make it happen.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Мужики, че за хрень? В первый раз вижу подобную хуйню.

    ReplyDelete
  48. It seems I solved your puzzle. This is just a kinda PR by 20c fox itself. As rainbow-colored as the entire movie.

    ReplyDelete
  49. You do realize that they are about to pass a law in Uganda that makes being homosexual a crime punishable by death? I am much more worried about real people being killed for being, or perceived as being, homosexual than I am about some stupid movie not having homosexuals in it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Uganda? Stop trying to change the topic, Kenneth.

    ReplyDelete
  51. WHAT ABOUT THE ASIANS?!

    ReplyDelete
  52. You twit, you're a shame to the homosexual community.

It's pansies like you that make people think that ALL of us homosexuals are crying little wussy babies when something doesn't go our way.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hello! I live in Vancouver, British Columbia and I think this is great! I love what you are doing and I won't watch Avatar for a while out of respect to you. All best and good luck to you!

    ReplyDelete
  54. LMAO THIS ENTIRE THING IS SUCH A JOKE!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm in the Boston area I went to Avatar this evening. Saw some people sitting on the floor by the doorway but were they protester(?). Afraid to ask but I did stand a little during the previews. Hope it helps.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Lara, you are an absolute moron and you know NOTHING about evolution. I'm a biology major and I've studied evolution quite extensively, even took a course entirely devoted to it, and there is absolutely no reason to think that humans will EVER be predominately transgendered. It is completely illogical. I'm all for gay rights and equality but you're just spreading bullshit. Stop trying to use science to support your egocentrism you blithering idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm with the stinkweeds on this one...

From a very out-n-proud gay man to the idiot that writes this blog:

    EPIC FAIL!

I have a gay-related blog of my own and I didn't even touch this story prior to the Avatar release date because I didn't want to fuel the flames of your stupidity.

I am so relieved this actually didn't take place or if it did, it was so scarce to the point that no one noticed - something to be thankful for.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I seriously think that it should be illegal to be as stupid as you are Lara

evolution does not make transgendered people, a plastic surgeon mutilating your genitals does that, and from a BIOLOGICAL standpoint you are still a man just with fake boobs and no balls

    ReplyDelete
  59. As of time of writing, the 'Reactions' bar under this article reads:

    Interesting - 7
    Dumb - 120

Lets keep that, 'Dumb' number rising. This is some of the stupidest crap ever.

    ReplyDelete
  60. The transgender community, freed from previously imposed heterosexual morals, has been afforded the right to be gay bi or whatever, as an act of tolerance and offer of peaceful coexistence.
Actions such as these repay this gesture by reversing the hatred in now forcing transgenderism on innocent straight people.

Sabotaging a movie evening this way is TOTALLY unacceptable, and insulting to the kind tolerance you are thusfar afforded.

Transgenderism did not breed 6 billion humans. Noone can be classified as a pregnant man. A bionic male incubator perhaps, but what was born male will die male, and breed only with female. No breeding = no evolution. Calling the social trend towards greater acceptance of transgenderism an evolution of the species is a fallacious notion of the noisy minority not content with mere coexistence with the heterosexual biosphere of this planet.

It never ceases to amaze me how ardently these minorities work at making themselves hated and undermining what little groundwork for their acceptance among first world societies, has been laid. GG!

    ReplyDelete
  62. this protest is retarded. nuff said.

    ReplyDelete
  63. No one protested at my movie theater! :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. It is only natural that there aren't any homosexuals in the future which will be filled with blue people. Homosexuals CAN'T reproduce, so naturally they went extinct. Duh!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I am gay and I find this bullshit highly offensive. You are a self-righteous cunt who is not comfortable enough with their own sexuality, so you feel the need to spread your diseased morals onto as many other poor saps as possible. Did you ever consider all the THOUSANDS of other movies that don't display gay relationships? Oh wait, that's too logical for your small mind, so I guess I win by default and logic.

Fuck this protest. Go find something more worth your while to bitch about... that is, if you have the intelligence to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  66. haha. I think the 7 people who said this blog is interesting were being sarcastic.

    ReplyDelete
  67. This is to the haters: You really aren't getting the point. Could you imagine a movie about the history of jazz that had NO black people? Wouldn't that be wrong? Wouldn't it feel like the voice of a people was silenced? Lara makes an airtight case that the future WILL be transgender.

    ReplyDelete
  68. this whole thing just makes me ill. i'm a gay man living in a rural community, so i tend to believe that i'm fairly sensitive to glbt injustices, sometimes to a fault. would it be nice to see a few glbt characters in avatar? sure, why not? is it of any real importance that there are none? of course not you martyring fucks.

it offends me that these people are trying (albeit, failing miserably) to steal the spotlight from real glbt issues. if the movie were called, "avatar: the movie in which we kill a bunch of gay people", then i'd be pissed. the movie's about blue people. christ.

oh, and the transgender evolution thing? this might be the "ungay" thing to say, but two men/two woman cannot reproduce. typically, those that undergo gender reassignment are rendered infertile. i find it very, very hard to believe that there could ever be an evolutionary trend that leans in the direction of a particular species becoming unable to reproduce.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Last night some us chanted "gay rights!" a few times just for the hell of it. We got some strange looks!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I kissed my boyfriend when we got our tickets and somebody back in the line actually clapped. Other than that, nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Robert: No, you aren't getting the point. Evolution is the biological process by which the most efficient way to produce more offspring becomes the de facto way to produce offspring. Heterosexual intercourse is the easiest way to make a baby. Ergo, heterosexual intercourse will remain the best way to make a baby (failing some sort of external stimulus to provoke this change). Transgenderism, in most cases, prevents baby making and will thus not be the way that our species evolves. It's really simple science for anyone who actually cares to understand it.

But ignoring all that, even IF her case were airtight, as you claim, evolution is still a process that takes millions of years. 150 years from now won't have been enough time to evolve anything as major as the removal of gender. It's simply scientifically impossible.

    ReplyDelete
  72. This is just the beginning. We will continue to march and protest until our gay homeland is secure!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Zach, traditional evolution may be fine for butterflies and chipmunks, but we human beings have removed ourselves from nature. We put a person on the moon and make babies out of test tubes. Straight people have gay kids, and gay closet cases have straight kids. So there's no reason to think trangenderism won't be the wave of the future.

Evolution does not progress at a constant speed; there a periods where it is fast and times when it is slow. All signs point to now being a particularly fast time. As one example, music just ten years ago sounds very dated. I congratulate Lara and remind him/her that they once laughed at Cornicopea, too.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Haha i dont see movies like avatar because i like real movies the funney thing about you people is you say avatar dont support gay and les rights haha just from the trailer you can tell the whole movie is gay!!!!! 8 foot tall smurfs almost nude and marine guys fighting in the jungle lol avatar is purely queer lol have fun ass fucking and strap on fucking eachother lol Aids kills fags dead

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hey, Robert? I'm really appreciating all the lulz you're putting into this. I mean, honestly, I am laughing very much at your satire. A+!

Why do I assume this is satire?

Well, this little gem right here: "

    ReplyDelete
  76. I totally agree that people could be Trans Gender some day. Why not? I thinks arrogant to assume it won't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Excuse me for that, but this awful comment system cut me off. Anyway, Robert. Your little gem about how music changing = evolution is, indeed, in a word, bullshit.

Biological evolution has fuck-all to do with changing musical tastes. That's just the changing of tastes, which has NOTHING TO FUCKING DO WITH EVOLUTION!!!!!!!

Plus, why in the holy HELL is it this fucking movie?! Dozens of movies have come out/will come out this year and I'm sure many for early 2010 are on the cusp of being released in theatres. What makes this fucking movie so special.

God help you people if you're just a goddamn viral marketing company. Remember how well that didn't go over for Sony and alliwantforxmasisapsp.com? Yeah, nailed to the fucking cross.

I'm done. Go fuck yourself you waste of space.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I think the problem with Avatar is that it takes place in the future and it just shows more of the same: straight people, battle scenes, guys in tank-tops, boy meets girl, etc. With all the money poured into the film Cameron could have been more daring.

  81. This is the worst movie to make this stupid agrument. There are two people in the whole damn movie that express their sexuality. That is it, just 2. One staright couple. How stupid are you people? Really, come one. This is the stupidest things i have ever seen. This is as stupid as Avatar is amazing, beautiful and breath taking. And Avatar is the greatest, most breath taking and beautiful movie i have seen in my entire life. And i have seen a lot of movie. Sully and Neytiri are the only 2, not even Moat, Tsu'tey and Eytukan don't show their sexuality. While Tsu'tey was supposed to be with Neytiri it is a forced marriage, just as Neytiri's parents was. It says nothing at all about how they actually feel. And i saw this movie twice, and was already planning on seeing it at least 4 more times. And i never heard of this stupid ass dumb peice of shit protest until i was reading IMDB Avatar posts. And there was not a single protester either time i saw the movie, and never heard of anyone else near me seeing one.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm in Akron, Ohio. Not always the best place for a gay man to live but I did see the movie last night with my boyfriend. We held hands and I made that people saw us kissing. I wish we had a more organized protest here but maybe next time.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I thought the idea was to be accepted by the rest of the world? Doing shit like this just makes people hate you even more... way to backfire!

I have gay friends, and even they are ashamed of this website.

    ReplyDelete
  84. People of all sexual backgrounds kiss in theaters Mr Akron, Ohio, way to break boundries!! Goes to show that people who are actually protesting this nonsense are stupid as hell. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say my love for the community just dropped a couple notches in my belt

All you're doing is giving Keanu Reeves the idea of protesting every movie that doesn't have Keanu Reeves in it.

I'd rather join that protest just to stay clear of the giant lava ball of shame you brought on yourself from this little gimic.

  85. As a lesbian woman trapped in a man's body, I just want to say thanks for setting our cause back 30 years you fuck!

    ReplyDelete
  86. This site is nothing but a lame attempt at trolling. However, I'd like to point out that since the Na'vi women look like little boys, this movie is actually promoting both NAMBLA *and* interracial marriage. It also promotes anorexia and bestiality. What more do you want of Cameron?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Me and my gay and lesbian brothers stood up during the movie and we told everyone that we were gay and lesbian and the theater errupted in applause.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Me and my shemale girlfriend just went to the front of the theatre and started fucking each other furiously.

Nobody minded, in fact they were cheering us on.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I raped the guy sitting next to me. I was in and out before he knew what happened.

Thats because no one cares if your gay or not. They just want to go see a simple movie. It has no Blatant anti-gay message in it just because it dosen't feature a prominant gay character.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I was holding my boyfriend's hand and a group of teenagers muttered "fags" at us several times. There's still a lot of hate in America and we have a ways to go.

  92. I saw a gay couple kissing in front of me at the theatre. When the movie was over they were still doing it! So we cornered them later outside and beat the crap out of them. Last time they gay-kiss in a theatre I'm in!

That is very true my friend however protesting a movie that has absolutely nothing to do with the subject of being LGBT is stupid and will only set things back, only make the communtiy look stupid and just as bad as everyone thinks. We could be doing something so much more productive then this.

  96. Thank you all for the support, but it really didn't matter. It was a failure from the start. Us fags and lesbos just don't have what it takes to make a stand, encourage change, and get the news out.
